Audience As Performer

What are HPI faculty up to now? Headlong just premiered Explanatorium, a site specific piece that included the audience from start to finished. (read our Philadelphia Inquirer blog here.) It was performed in a spectacular abandoned Christian Science Church that looked like this:


The audience was a huge presence in the space.

And the audience danced. Some of the most powerful moments in the piece came from their bodies.
