HPI is currently accepting applications from both undergraduate and post-bac artists on a rolling basis.
To apply, submit our application along with a college transcript, two recommendations, and a work sample. The work sample may take different forms (as described in our application), and we encourage you to showcase the boldness and clarity of your artistic mind. We don’t need a masterpiece—just something that shows you thinking and taking risks.
We are looking for student artists who demonstrate:
- A strong background in an artistic practice: theater, dance, music, visual art, design, etc.
- An interest in taking risks, and in process-based, contemporary work
- An ability to work and function well as a citizen in a close artistic community
You will also be scheduled for a phone and/or in-person interview following our receipt of your application. Click HERE for what you need in your application.
