A native of Bulgaria, she creates, produces and presents performing art and video under the name Here[begin] Dance. Presently, she works as Programs and Finance Coordinator at Mascher Space Co-op. She questions the ideas of the constructed structures of performance and pushes the boundaries of social propriety. Mylar reflective material and custom lighting are integral parts of her most recent work, which focuses on abstracting the female body, feminist ideas and imagery. She is an advocate for parenting artists and is getting better at juggling travel, rehearsals and art-making with nursing, washing, playing, walking, cooking and not sleeping. She keeps sane by listening to sci-fi books from female writers. Any recommendations on that front are always deeply appreciated. www.herebegindance.com @zstoy</image:caption>

In addition to studying at Headlong, she has also studied Pachinko Clown technique with Donna Oblongata. Her current work is primarily installation-based. She occupies entire spaces with color, texture, objects that can be touched and objects for which touch is forbidden. Often, she uses her own body or the bodies of others as a material. She is interested in the tension of holding seemingly opposite ideas within the same space: niceness and violence, touch as pleasure and touch as invasion. She focuses on themes of intimacy and violence, femininity, and racial identity. Eliza Leighton was born in South Florida. elizaleighton.cargocollective.com </image:caption>

<image:caption>A performer and filmmaker working in New York and Philadelphia. She has acted in film and theater, as well as produced her own work. In 2016 she created "Speculum Diaries", a solo show about longing, which debuted at Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Her first feature film "Us, Forever Ago" is scheduled to screen at indie festivals throughout 2018. Most of Irina's projects start out as explorations of life experiences that are hard to put into words or seem too shameful. Embarrassment, discomfort and laughter are often parts of the process. Her work tends to revolve around women, personal history and the desire to connect and find a place in the world. irinavarina.com usforeverago.com </image:caption>

<image:caption>Lily Kind is a choreographic artist, writer, teacher, and anthropologist. She is interested in play, listening, and power structures. This shows up in her teaching and practice of both Lindy Hop and David Zambrano’s Flying Low & Passing Through, as well as in her solo and group work, teaching, and Ragtag Empire, a jazz era enterprise she co-runs with Heather Houde. She has been commissioned by Sarasota Contemporary Dance Company (2015) and assisted two Guggenheim Fellows: Stephan Koplowitz (2008) and Raphael Xavier (2016). She was featured in Chelsea & Magda’s Shame Symposium (2016). She currently writes for Culturebot and Phindie. Writing accolades include the Art Blog/St. Claire Best Under 500 words (2017), a Dance Italia Writing Fellowship (2016), and a NY Times shout out. She teaches regularly at Yoga Movement Sanctuary, and provides support for Urban Movement Arts. She has guest taught at Princeton University, Temple University, and Goddard College. Her formal education goes: Concord Academy, Goucher College (BA 2009) Sarah Lawrence College, California Institute for the Arts, Headlong Performance Institute, and Goddard College (MFA 2019). Sometimes, working with childhood friend Adam Stone, she presents work as Pidgin. Critical of the Macro-Economy of dance & dance education in the US, Lily made dance exclusively in Baltimore from 2008-2015 as founder and director of the Effervescent Collective. In this capacity, she directed movement for projects with musicians Bosley, Dan Deacon, Baltimore Rock Opera Society, Single Carrot Theater and many others. She also trained in black vernacular forms with Guardian Baltimore. Lilykind.org @thelilykind</image:caption>

<image:caption>Shreshth has directed and designed for a bunch of realist theatre shows. Bored of naturalism, he is now venturing into puppetry, movement, and devised performance art. He is interested in telling real stories of love, distance, illness, and food through a magical and dreamy lens. This magic leads him to draw from Indian mythology, folklore, and fuels an interest in traditional forms of Indian art making. He is currently working on a radio narrative about family, immigration, and queerness, which is woven together with a live experiential dance performance; and Passion Fruit Dances, a monthly performance exploring self-aware masculinity, tenderness, queerness, and creating performance experiences with an audience. He attended Headlong in 2017 and graduated from Penn in 2016, where he directed and designed shows including John Logan’s Red. shreshthkhilani.com</image:caption>
