You'll sweat. You'll think.
You'll make wild, impassioned work.

The faculty will push you and you'll push back.

At HPI, we care more about how creative you are than how many pirouettes you can do or how well you did in your scene study class. We are looking for artists who demonstrate:

  • A strong background in an artistic practice: dance, theater, music, visual art, design, etc.

  • An interest in taking risks and in process-based, contemporary work

  • The ability to collaborate and function well as a citizen in a close artistic community
